The city of Erie has rules about which city employees can take city-owned vehicles home.
Those rules could be tweaked to allow more of the city’s police officers to do so, if a majority of Erie City Council agrees.
Council on Sept. 3 could take a final vote on a proposal, sponsored by Councilman Chuck Nelson, that would amend the existing city ordinance governing the use of city vehicles. Council gave preliminary approval to the amendment on Aug. 20.
