Johnny Kenny called into Ireland squad for World Cup double header

Uncapped Celtic striker Johnny Kenny has been called into the senior Ireland squad for the World Cup tests against Hungary and Armenia in place of the injured Troy Parrott.

Dubliner Parrott had been in superb form with AZ Alkmaar in the early stage of the season but picked up a knock last week and, after his club boss said last week that Parrott would not be released for international duty due to the injury, his withdrawal was confirmed today.
