A police car in Lower Parliament Street
A bus driver alerted police to a person walking around Nottingham city centre shortly before a knife and drugs were discovered. Two officers were on patrol near Lower Parliament Street on Thursday morning (August 28) when they were approached by driver.
He told the officers he had just seen two women pleading with a group of men to hand back a mobile phone and a passport. The officers found the two women shouting at a man in Thurland Street .
Upon searching him, they found large quantities of cannabis and bags of white powder, which was suspected to be cocaine . A lock knife was also found in his waistband - however he did not have the mobile phone or passport.
