MORGANTOWN — It was special, Rich Rodriguez admitted, singing "Country Roads" with his team at the end of the game at Mountaineer Field on Saturday, a stumbling, fumbling start that turned into near perfection in the second half of what would become a 45-3 opening day victory over an outmanned Robert Morris team from Pittsburgh, standing there and singing along with the 59,093 fans who had turned out for the affair.

"The greatest tradition in college sports, singing Country Roads after a win," he said once it was over. "I tell the team that. I don't know what the attendance was, but it looked pretty packed. I know our players really appreciate that. I tell them WVU football is important to a lot of people. A crowd like today backs that up." kAmxE 46CE2:?=J 5:5 7@C 9:>]k^Am kAm!6C92AD E
