Police arrived a short time later and caught one of the suspects coming around the side of a house, soaking wet after trying to escape through a creek. It seemed they might be able to quickly wrap up the case.

Within hours, though, the officers realized they had a bigger problem on their hands. Two more burglaries in this same affluent Cincinnati suburb would soon take place on the same day.
