Man rescued after falling down cliff on Mackinac Island where climbing is banned

MACKINAC ISLAND – A man was rescued on Sunday, Aug. 31 after falling part way down a cliff where climbing is prohibited on Mackinac Island, fire officials said.

It’s the second rescue this year and the 10th in the last 15 years, despite climbing on cliffs being prohibited, the department said in a statement.
