MrBeast's #TeamWater fundraiser has hit its final goal, raising a total of $40,000,000 to help 2,000,000 people have access to clean water for decades. The fundraiser ran through the month of August and was led by MrBeast and Mark Rober and involved many other high-profile content creators.

In a press release shared over email with Newsweek , MrBeast and Rober said in a joint statement, "Mark and I are blown away by what the creator community has accomplished—we could never have achieved this on our own."

Why It Matters

More than 2 billion people around the world lacked access to drinking water that is safely managed, as of 2022, as per the United Nations . The charity WaterAid has said that one in 10 people around the world doesn't have access to clean water close to home.
