Now, the battle for the 19-year-old Gaymes is to try and keep that spot on a very deep Windsor roster. Article content Article content

“You’ve got to work twice as hard almost because you know there’s guys that want to be in your position,” Gaymes said. “You have to bring your A game every time.”

Gaymes was one of eight returning forwards to dress in Saturday’s Blue-White game to wrap up training camp. The former 15 th -round pick scored twice to help Team White to a 7-1 win at the WFCU Centre.

“If I can show my game in every way possible, where it’s more of an all-around game instead of just a physical, grinder style, it’s going to help me out,” Gaymes said.
