An unidentified person died from a gunshot wound on Aug. 30 in Montgomery, police said.

A Montgomery Police Department spokesperson said police and fire medics were dispatched to the 3500 block of Carter Hill Road at 2:16 a.m. after a report of a person being shot. The person was pronounced dead at the scene.

MPD has not released the person's identity or any other details about the shooting. There are no reported suspects, and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
