Shortly after Germany’s dominant 120-57 win over Great Britain at EuroBasket in Tampere, the German national team announced unfortunate news.

Center Johannes Voigtmann will miss the remainder of the tournament due to an injury that requires surgery, as stated.

“ Johannes Voigtmann will no longer be available for the DBB team for the remainder of the tournament. Further diagnostics revealed an injury in the FC Bayern Munich center that requires surgical treatment. ”

Voigtmann had played in only two games against Montenegro and Lithuania, averaged 16.4 minutes, 1.5 points, three rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game.
