A 22-year-old Bloomfield woman has been charged in connection with a wrong-way crash Friday night on St. Michael's Drive that left another driver with two broken legs.

Santa Fe police were called around 9:30 p.m. Friday to the scene of a car crash on St. Michael's Drive near Warner Avenue, where a 53-year-old woman had sustained significant injury to her legs, according to a news release the police department issued late Sunday.

The victim in the crash was taken to an area hospital, where medical staff said both of her legs were broken.

Witnesses told officers a vehicle had been traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of the roadway and collided head-on with another car.
