Detroit — Union members from across Metro Detroit rallied for workers' rights on Monday in the city's Corktown neighborhood as labor battles continue in the nursing field and other sectors.

Members of over two dozen union locals, wearing blue, red, bright orange or other colorful T-shirts, walked in the Labor Day parade on Michigan Avenue as spectators cheered for them. Semi trucks and other large vehicles also cruised along the route, honking at the crowd.
