Yuma County is moving forward with preparations for the Sept. 23 Special General Election for Congressional District 7, following the Board of Supervisors’ approval of key election board appointments during its Aug. 18 regular meeting.
The board approved members for the Accuracy Certification Board, Early Ballot Boards and Vote Center Election Boards, as required by Arizona law.
“State statute drives everything that we do regarding elections,” said County Administrator Ian McGaughey. “These positions are appointed for every election, not just for special ones.”
