CHARLESTON, Ill. (WCIA) -- The Charleston Police Department arrested a person over the weekend after an aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
On Aug. 31, officers responded near the intersection of Lincoln Avenue and B Street after reports of a fight in progress. Officers investigated and said that they identified 21-year-old Emmily J. Hill as the aggressor.
The police department said that Hill had been armed with a knife during the fight.
Hill was taken into custody without incident and was detained in the Coles County Jail. The police department said Hill was detained due to the "threat she poses to the community."
