Alexandria, VA — The Animal Welfare League of Alexandria (AWLA) is excited to announce the next cohort of Alexandria Animal Academy dog training classes, beginning Sunday, September 7. This virtual session is perfect for dog owners looking to keep their pets mentally and physically active and is especially great during fall, outside weather.

Designed to improve behavior, boost confidence, and strengthen the human-canine bond, the 7-week online courses are open to anyone—not just Alexandria residents. Whether you have a rambunctious puppy, a shy rescue, or a leash-reactive dog, there’s a course for you.

Participants can choose from three specialized learning tracks led by certified trainer Beth Tumlin, CPDT-KA (Certified Professional Dog Trainer – Knowledge Assessed):
