MORGANTOWN, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Powerball ticket worth $50,000 was sold in Morgantown over the weekend, according to the West Virginia Lottery.

The ticket, purchased at the Cheat Lake Price Cutter on Venture Drive, matched four numbers plus the Powerball during Saturday’s drawing. The winning numbers were 3, 18, 22, 27, 33, and the Powerball was 17.

While no one claimed the jackpot, more than 100 big winners were recorded nationwide. The jackpot now grows to $1.1 billion, the fifth-largest in the game’s history.

The next drawing is scheduled for Monday night, despite the Labor Day holiday. Tickets must be purchased by 9:59 p.m. Monday to qualify.
