CHICAGO — A man has been charged in connection with the death of a 9-year-old boy who was killed during an altercation at a CTA Green Line station last month.

On Monday, police announced 52-year-old Michael Korosa of Chicago, has been charged with involuntary manslaughter and aggravated battery.

Police said he was arrested Saturday after he was identified as one of the men suspected of beating 9-year-old Elijah Flores on Aug 10.

According to police sources, Elijah was exiting a Green Line train around 11:15 a.m. with a 22-year-old male.

Police said the 22-year-old man was arguing with two other men at the Clinton Station in the 500 block of West Lake Street when, during the argument, the two men chased Elijah and the 22-year-old from the platform.
