The match to crown a new WWE Women’s World Champion has been made official. On the September 1st episode of Monday Night Raw, it was announced that Stephanie Vaquer will face IYO SKY for the vacant title at the upcoming Wrestlepalooza premium live event on Saturday, September 20. The two are scheduled to have a contract signing for the match on next week’s episode of Raw.

The championship was recently vacated by the former champion, Naomi, on the August 18th episode of Raw after she announced her pregnancy. This left the top of the Raw women’s division in a state of flux and created an opportunity for a new champion to be crowned.
