RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - A Richmond cyclist is sharing a message with drivers after being hit by a car while riding his bike.

Bryan Pecora attempted to cross Leigh Street on Friday evening, Aug. 31, when a car turned left and hit him.

“I was travelling across the lane, he doesn’t see me, it’s an honest mistake, but I hit his front quarter panel, rolled on his hood, rolled on his windshield, and onto the ground,” Pecora said.

That driver who hit him never stopped.

Neither did almost anyone else there at the intersection of Leigh Street and Belvedere when it happened.

“A car passed me on the inside, which was insane. I’m laying in the street almost helpless and a car is still trying to get by me,” Pecora said. “I had to quickly assess my situation, asses my injuries and quickly pull mysel
