Man gunned down in Yonkers over Labor Day weekend, suspect arrested within 15 minutes

Yonkers, NY – A 42-year-old man was shot and killed Saturday night in what police say was a targeted attack linked to a personal dispute, and the suspected shooter was arrested just minutes later thanks to rapid police response and surveillance technology.

Felix Santiago, 42, of Yonkers, was found suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen around 10:30 p.m. near 27 Ludlow Street. He was rushed to a nearby hospital but later died from his injuries.

Detectives say the shooting stemmed from a conflict between the suspect and a family member of the victim. As the two men crossed paths, the suspect allegedly opened fire, striking Santiago once out of approximately three shots fired.
