KNOX COUNTY, Ky. — The Knox County Sheriff’s Department in Kentucky said it's investigating after a woman died after being attacked by a pack of dogs in the Flat Lick community.
Deputies said the attack happened around 2:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 29, when 44-year-old Priscilla Jones was walking on Sandy Branch Road.
A person who knew Jones heard her screams and called 911. First responders found her suffering from life-threatening injuries and unable to communicate, KCSD said.
She was taken to Barbourville ARH Hospital, where she later died, according to officials.
The sheriff’s department said the death remains under investigation.
