The Lithuanian national team managed to slow down Lauri Markkanen, holding him under 20 points for the first time at EuroBasket 2025.

That proved to be the key for Lithuania, as despite Mikael Jantunen’s strong performance, they pulled off an 81-78 victory in Tampere.

With the win, Lithuania improved to 3-1, drawing level with tournament hosts Finland in Group B. Rokas Jokubaitis came up just one assist shy of a double-double, finishing with 16 points and nine assists, before getting injured in the fourth quarter. Azuolas Tubelis also made a big impact with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Marek Blazevic added 14 points and eight boards, while Ignas Sargiunas scored 10. Jonas Valanciunas logged fewer than 15 minutes, contributing eight points and five rebounds.
