Liverpool have agreed a British record £125million deal to sign Alexander Isak from Newcastle, but Marc Guehi is staying at Crystal Palace after his £35m move to to Anfield broke down – despite the two clubs agreeing a fee.

The Reds had a £110m offer for Isak rejected in August and since then the 25-year-old has not trained with or played for Newcastle, but in the final hours of the transfer window a deal has been reached to end the impasse.
