A Texas man is facing federal charges after he allegedly made a series of disturbing threats against a presidential staff member, including a threat to “decapitate” the victim.
According to court documents, Thomas Austria Crouse, of Austin, was arrested last Wednesday on charges of transmitting an interstate communication containing a threat to injure the person of another. He faces up to five years in prison if convicted.
The criminal complaint alleges that on the night of August 25, Crouse called the personal phone of a White House staffer.
