DALLAS — Some North Texas high schools are among the best in the U.S., according to the latest U.S. News and World Report rankings .

Three Dallas ISD magnet schools -- The School for the Talented and Gifted, Irma Lerma Rangel Young Women's Leadership School and the School of Science and Engineering topped the list as the three highest-rated schools in Texas for the third straight year.

The School for the Talented and Gifted ranked as the ninth-best school nationally and was rated the 33rd-best STEM high school, according to the report.
