OXFORD, Miss. (WMC) - Ole Miss Football wore helmet stickers in honor of a fallen freshman football player during their victorious opening game on Saturday.

Corey Adams, 18, a touted defensive end from New Orleans, was shot to death on July 19 when gunfire erupted after a pool party in Cordova, Tennessee.

Ahead of Saturday’s season opener against Georgia State, the team posted a photo of a helmet sticker featuring Adams’ initials and player number to social media, with the caption reading, “Playing for 91.”

The Shelby County Sheriff’s Office has yet to make an arrest in connection with Adams’ death.

A $21,000 reward is still on the table for any information that could identify one or more potential suspects.
