Syracuse, N.Y. —The Syracuse women’s lacrosse team has a highly-rated prospect from Section III committed for the Class of 2027.

Olivia Macutek of Watertown (N.Y.), who plays midfield, announced her verbal commitment to play for head coach Regy Thorpe and Syracuse on Monday.

Macutek has 202 career points (137 goals, 65 assists), 178 draw control wins and 36 forced turnovers for the Cyclones.

Macutek helped Watertown win its fourth section title in program history this past season as a sophomore, leading the Cyclones with 71 goals.

Macutek was named to the 2025 All-Central New York large school girls lacrosse team.

She also earned second-team honors on the Class B New York State Sportswriters Associat
