A woman has in Texas has been charged with murdering her baby after she “intentionally” left the 15-month-old in her car in sweltering heat.
Vanessa Esquivel, 27, was arrested after the baby died from being left in her car for hours on Aug. 16 as the mom went to work in Frisco, police said.
“Detectives believe Esquivel intentionally left her 15-month-old child for over two hours in a vehicle she knew did not have working air conditioning with an outside temperature of at least 95F,” the Frisco Police Department alleged in a news release .
“Detectives believed probable cause existed that Esquivel had committed murder,” based on information gathered during the investigation.
