Police closed off a road after a man was 'struck by a car' in south Manchester on Monday afternoon (September 1).

Emergency services, including police and paramedics, attended the incident on Lloyd Street South in Fallowfield , close to the Aldi supermarket.

It followed reports that a man had been hit by a vehicle along the busy stretch of road.

The victim, a pedestrian, was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital. It's understood his injuries are not thought to be life-changing or life-threatening.
