HENDERSON, Ky (WEHT) - The chairwoman of the Warrick County Republican Party is speaking out, nearly two weeks after a town hall with Indiana Lt. Governor Micah Beckwith ended with three arrests.
April Edwards says she didn't speak up sooner because she didn't want to give more attention to those who were arrested.
In a Facebook post, she called the outbursts "poor behavior" saying those involved do not represent a legitimate political voice nor the views of most Democrats.
Edwards says the party fully supports Beckwith and will keep pushing for civil dialogue on the issues facing the community and the country.
