FAIRFIELD, Maine (WABI) - Two people were arrested for drugs in Fairfield on Saturday.

Fairfield Police say they searched a home on Six Rod Road.

As a result, 34-year-old Aubrey Danforth Jr. and 38-year-old Melissa Witham, both of Fairfield, were taken into custody.

Police say they are both being charged with aggravated drug trafficking and unlawful drug possession.

They say Danforth was additionally charged with possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.
