After more than 14 years in the local car wash business Pat Ionno can spot a Burning Man car a mile away.
And many times, they are turning into this car wash.
“We started to get some yesterday,” says Ionna the District Manager with Sierra Car Wash. “But today we got a lot of them, and then throughout the week.”
For the next two weeks to be precise.
Ionno says these cars take a lot of loving care. He opens the hood to show us the engine, battery and other components.
Typically, they have playa dust on them that needs to come off.
