1. At 91, this usher is the beloved guardian of umpires at Busch Stadium

No one gets by Vito Adamo, 91, without the proper badge or authorization. But at the same time, Adamo exudes "energy, warmth and an unshakable work ethic."

Described at the unofficial mayor at the stadium and a steadfast guardian of the MLB umpires, Adamo has been at Cardinals games for 27 seasons.

This may be Adamo's final season, however. It's getting harder for him to wake up for Mass at 8 a.m. after getting home at midnight or later the day before.
