HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - High pressure and dry air have remained persistent over the area for much of the month of August. This is about to change come mid-week.
A couple of systems will begin working through the region, starting as early as Tuesday. The initial round of potential rain will, however, be very hit or miss and light in nature. Still, some isolated showers and thunderstorms will be a possibility over Eastern Kentucky on Tuesday evening.
By Wednesday, a slightly stronger system will try to work its way through the region. This will drive some slightly higher chances of rain, though not everyone will see that.
