LORAIN, Ohio (WJW) - Additional fundraisers are being held to help the Lorain families and officers shot during the July 23 ambush.

Lorain Officer Phillip Wagner was on his lunch break when he was shot. Police found a man waited with weapons and explosives then carried out an ambush, shooting and killing Wagner and wounding officers Peter Gale and Brent Payne. The suspect was shot and killed by police.

Several fundraisers have been held to help Wagner's family as well as Gale and Payne. Gale and Payne are continuing to recover.

Wagner was a husband and father of three young children.

The Lorain Police FOP and the Lorain County Sheriff's Deputies Association are hosting a 50 Gun Raffle on Oct. 25 at New Russia Township Hall.
