PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - Across the metro area on Monday there were multiple protests, rallies, and marches where people were voicing their concerns with how the federal government is being run by the current administration, with the largest rally starting along Portland’s waterfront.

Around noon, there were only a couple hundred people gathered at the Battleship Oregon Memorial listening to speakers from 50501 Portland voice their frustration with the Trump administration, and the work he has done to increase ICE raids and cut federal funding to multiple programs including Medicaid.

But by 1 p.m., when they started marching through downtown and across the river, there were thousands of people chanting and carrying their signs.
