COEUR D’ ALENE, Idaho – Amid scorching temperatures, protestors gathered for the “Workers Over Billionaires” demonstration, voicing concerns over President Donald Trump’s policies.

“I didn’t come out here for my well-being,” protestor Karen Mello explained.

Mello said she joined the protest not just to stand against the administration’s policies but out of love for her country.

“I came here because I love my country, and I’m a patriot,” Mello said.

With a sign reading “Hands Off Social Security,” Mello expressed concern about changes she believes threaten the program.

The Trump administration has implemented several changes to Social Security, claiming these adjustments aim to increase efficiency.
