LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - Elizabeth Olguin, the mother of Lance Corporal David Lee Espinoza, a native of Laredo who was killed in an attack in Afghanistan in 2021, is sharing her recent experience at the White House and the overwhelming support she received from the Laredo community.
Olguin and Espinoza’s younger brother returned from Washington, D.C., last week, where they were honored along with 12 other families of service members who lost their lives that day. She described her visit to the White House as a once-in-a-lifetime experience, saying, “To have a tour of the east wing of the White House. It’s an experience that I don’t think we’ll ever have again.”
