Pitt volleyball knew Arizona State was going to come in hot in their match on Monday at the State Farm Volleyball Showcase. The Sun Devils were coming off a four-set win against reigning national champions Penn State on Sunday. A huge feat in and of itself.

The Panthers came to PPG Paints Arena even hotter. After some initial shakiness, Dan Fisher’s team quickly got it together. Led by Blaire Bayless, Pitt battled to a 3-0 (25-21, 25-18, 25-16) win against Arizona State for its first sweep of the season.
