BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC ) - The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) said there were more All-terrain vehicle (ATV) related crashes across the state than usual this Labor Day weekend.

Because of this, state troopers want to remind you how important safety is when you’re operating any kind of off-road vehicle.

In Cherokee County, a father and mother died while seven children were sent to the hospital after their side-by-side RZR collided with another RZR utility task vehicle (UTV), overturned and hit a tree.

In Chilton County, a man was hurt after getting thrown from his four-wheeler on County Road 102 off County Road 73 Sunday, Aug. 31.

Unfortunately, these were only two of the several wrecks from the holiday weekend.
