CHATHAM COUNTY, Ga. (WSAV) - A Georgia State Patrol (GSP) chase that ended in a crash back in June also resulted in a GSP trooper colliding with another car that happened to be nearby.
Over a month later, that driver who was hit said GSP has not taken the steps to make him whole for the damage to his vehicle.
"My vehicle is still in the same shape it was before, just held on with bubblegum and wire. We've got it held together with wire, but it's not repaired," Brett Campbell, the driver who was hit, said.
On June 17, a GSP trooper began pursuing a stolen vehicle, and the chase ended with the suspect crashing and flipping the car, according to GSP.
