BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC ) - Panic is already setting in across Tuscaloosa after the Crimson Tide’s season opener ended in disappointment.

Alabama entered the weekend ranked No. 8 in the nation but fell on the road to an unranked Florida State team in Tallahassee. The loss not only quieted early-season optimism, but also fueled frustration among fans navigating life after Nick Saban as second-year head coach Kalen DeBoer continues the daunting task of stepping into the legendary coach’s shadow.

Some students did not hold back in sharing their frustrations.

“I thought we sucked,” said University of Alabama junior Reagan Andress.

Others expressed concerns that the team lacked energy on the field.
