The summer transfer window has now officially closed and, for Manchester United , it has largely been a successful one. Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo arrive as Premier League -proven players while Benjamin Sesko has a very high ceiling, but is also capable of making an immediate impact.
Diego Leon, mostly for the future, has also signed with goalkeeper Senne Lammens joining on deadline day to solve a clear issue in between the sticks. Midfield was another priority position for Ruben Amorim and, despite interest in Carlos Baleba, Angelo Stiller and several others, United did not make any signings in that area.
With Manuel Ugarte and Kobbie Mainoo seemingly out of favour, Amorim's favoured midfield partnership has, so far this season, been captain Bruno Fernandes alongside Casemiro.
