A 'key link' connecting parts of Cambridgeshire through new cycle routes and pathways has officially opened. The sustainable travel scheme has been designed to make it easier for people to walk and cycle in Thorpe Wood.

The work, which started earlier this year and was completed last month, has delivered widened footpaths and a cycleway allowing cyclists to travel along Thorpe Wood in both directions. Two crossings have been installed as well as a new bus shelter.

These improvements will enable people to have more choice on how they travel around Peterborough and help people to feel safer when traveling by foot or on wheels.
