A summer toy drive combining the efforts of the Sandpoint Lions Club, Washington Federal Bank and Evans Brothers Coffee was a huge success, Sandpoint Lions Club President Janice Rader said.
The Christmas in July toy drive, a partnership between Washington Federal and Evans Brothers, raised $300 in cash and collected more than $900 worth of toys, Alisha Kowalski of Evans Brothers Coffee told Lions officials.
"We want to give a huge thank you to Alisha Kowalski, Brad Goode, Danielle Resso from Washington Federal Bank and Alani Strang from Evans Brothers for their amazing toy drive during July," Rader said in a social media post for the club.
In sharing news of the successful fundraiser, Resso said organizers had a lot of fun — and planned to hold future events.
