Here are The Post’s college football rankings following Week 1:
1. Ohio State (1-0)
New starting quarterback Julian Sayin looked the part and the Matt Patricia-led defense, with just three returning starters, was terrific in an impressive win over preseason No. 1 Texas .
2. LSU (1-0)
The rebuilt Tigers defense looked fantastic, keying one of the best wins of the Brian Kelly era , at Clemson. The unit held Heisman Trophy candidate Cade Klubnik and Co. to 230 yards of offense and shut them out after halftime.
3. Penn State (1-0)
We didn’t learn anything about Penn State in its 46-11 shellacking of Nevada, and we won’t be able to glean much in its next two games, against Florida International and Villanova, either.
