On the courts of Walt Whitman Park in Melville, Jack Kennedy was getting ready for the Juniors Competition at the U.S. Open, just 30 miles from his hometown of Huntington.
"Feels like our backyard tournament. I've been watching this tournament since I was like five years old. So, me playing on one of the biggest stages, not just for us juniors but also for the men's, it's really just a dream come true as I like to say," said Kennedy of the U.S. Open, one of the four major championships in the tennis world.
