MADISON, Wis. - Summer has come and gone, and so has Labor Day, which means many students across the state head back to the classroom Tuesday.

That includes some students in the Madison Metropolitan School District. News 3 Now This Morning stopped by Olson Elementary in Madison as the first kids were dropped off Tuesday morning.

Deputy Superintendent Dr. TJ McCray says the district has been hard at work getting ready for a brand new school year, and that students, along with their parents, should feel the positive energy walking into the schools for the first day.
