STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- More than 400 borough residents have been kicked to the curb so far this year, with several Staten Island neighborhoods already seeing dozens of residential evictions in 2025.
The Staten Island Advance/SILive.com analyzed residential eviction data from New York City’s Open Data portal to determine how many Staten Islanders have been evicted this year through August 19, the last date available at the time of the analysis.
There have been 406 residential evictions across the borough through the first roughly seven and a half months of the year, with many of the evictions concentrated in just a small handful of neighborhoods.
