Sheinelle Jones is returning to TODAY following the devastating death of her husband , Uche Ojeh, in May.

The 3rd Hour of TODAY co-host will be back in Studio 1A beginning Friday, Sept. 5. She will share a deeply personal interview with Savannah Guthrie, in which she opens up about how she and her children are grieving the loss of their father, why she calls her experience a “beautiful nightmare” and her message of hope for anyone facing their own struggles.

It will be an emotional homecoming for Sheinelle, who said in January that she would be taking time off due to a family health matter. In May, Uche, Sheinelle’s husband of 17 years, died at the age of 45 after a battle with brain cancer.
